Good Bones was created by Melody and Carson Allen as a home for the things they’ve always loved most: great coffee, good music, and the timeless character of all things vintage. With deep roots in the coffee world, the Allens have spent years learning the craft and culture that make a café more than just a place to grab a drink. Their background in music infuses the space with a creative spirit, while a shared passion for vintage gear—especially well-worn guitars—gives Good Bones its unique identity as both a coffee shop and a curated vintage haven.
Drawn to the grit, history, and charm of Colfax Avenue, Melody and Carson wanted to build a place that reflects the soul of the street and the community around it. Good Bones was founded on the belief that great neighborhoods deserve gathering places—spots where people can slow down, connect, and feel at home. Their vision is simple: bring people together through craft, creativity, and the things that age well
